- Why do you call individuals who join ‘Owners’ and not ‘Members’? When you join BoatClub.com, you actually acquire a beneficial interest in our entire fleet of boats for the life of your Membership Plan. This is our way of giving added security to our "Owners". At BoatClub.com, we want all who join to feel like an Owner. We take pride in our Company, and in our Fleet.
- Once I join, am I locked in for the life of my Ownership Plan? No. At BoatClub.com we strive to please every Owner. If at any time you decide BoatClub.com is not for you, just cancel your Plan. There are no penalties or cancellation fees. However, you will not be reimbursed any fees that have already been paid.
- What are some of the advantages of joining BoatClub.com over purchasing my own boat?
- See Price Advantages
- The cost of purchasing your own boat doesn’t just include monthly payments, which can exceed $600 a month when you add in all the options we’ve equipped our on boats.
- Other expenses some forget to consider when purchasing a boat are; (i) storage; (ii) boat and trailer maintenance; (iii) insurance; (iv) purchasing and maintaining a tow vehicle; and (v) what price can you put on lost time on the water, due to equipment failure.
- If you purchase a boat and realize six months down the road that you no longer want it, you have to go through all the hassles and headaches of selling it. And, forget about having equity in your boat. Just like cars, boats depreciate the minute you drive them off the lot. At that point, you'll probably owe more on it than it’s worth. At BoatClub.com, if you realize boat ownership is not for you; just cancel your Plan and your out. No hassles, no headaches, and no cancelation fees.
- BoatClub.com enables you to make the whole family happy. In many instances families end up compromising their wants and needs and purchase boats that they don’t really want. One member of a family may want a fully equipped, dedicated fishing boat, another may want a ski boat, and the next may want some type of leisure boat with all the creature comforts. It’s nearly impossible to find a boat that meets all those desires. At BoatClub.com, you can make a reservation in a dedicated fishing boat one day, a dedicated ski boat (soon to be added) the next day, and plan your next reservation around a relaxing day on the water in one of our pleasure boats.
- Do you have, or plan to have off-shore boats in your fleet? Currently, we do not have off-shore boats. However, pleasing our Owners is our number one goal. Incorporating off-shore boats is definitely on our “to do” list, We'll only do this, of course, if we can make is affordable, and hassle free to all our Owners.
- Explain the “Unlimited Use” Membership Plan: It’s exactly how it sounds. All Unlimited Use Owners can schedule as many reservations per year as they desire for the life of their Membership Plan. You can schedule reservations up to 4 months in advance, and have up to 4 scheduled at a time. Once you use your first of four reservations, you’re eligible to schedule another.
- Explain the “Limited Use” Membership Plan: Limited Use Owners can schedule up to 18 reservations per year. Unused reservations do not rollover to the next. Reservations can be scheduled up to 1 month in advance, and you can have up to 2 scheduled at a time. Once you use your first of two reservations, you’re eligible to schedule another.
- Explanin the "Pay Per Use" Membership Plan: Pay Per Use Members can schedule an Unlimited amount of reservations on any fully equipped fishing or pleasure boat in our Fleet at any one of our growing number of fresh and saltwater locations. This is a perfect plan for individuals who truly have limited free time. There are no monthly dues. You're simply charged for each reservation you schedule.
- How do I get my boat on the day of a reservation? At BoatClub.com, we’ve eliminated all the hassles and headaches of boat ownership. On the day of a scheduled reservation, your boat will be launched and ready to go when you show up. All you have to do is sign the Check In/Check Out sheet that will be provided by our Dock Master.
- I have no boating experience. Is their training available? All new Owners are required to complete and pass our 6 hour Orientation Training Session, conducted by one of our Captains. Owners are not eligible to schedule reservations until this has been successfully completed. Your Ownership Plan will begin on the date of completion.
- My favorite fishing/boating location is not listed as one of your current or future locations. Can I suggest that it be added? Definitely! We want to make our boats available to as many desired locations as possible. All you have to do is call or send an email to info@boatclub.com, and we’ll do our best to get that location added.
- Do you have a referral program? Of course. All Owners are eligible for a 5% commission of the first year's Annual Membership Fee for every new Member they refer. This can be paid direclty to you, credited towards Ship Store purchases, or credited towards your monthly dues.

- Can I split the cost of a Plan with a friend? Yes. Up to two people can join together. If you choose the Unlimited Use Membership Plan, only one designated person on the Plan can schedule reservations. If you choose a Limited Use Plan, both persons on the plan can schedule reservations, not to exceed a total of 18 reservations per year. Pay Per Use Plans can have up to two primary Members. Both Members are eligible to schedule reservations.
- Am I responsible for refilling the gas tank at the end of the day? No. This will be done by our Dock Masters. Waterfront gas stations can be very expensive. Our Dock Masters will trailer the boat and refill the tanks at the current market rate. There is no service charge for this. You will only be charged for the gas you use. It will be charged to the credit card we have on file.
- Is overnight usage permitted? Not at this time. Our hours of operation are from dawn until dusk.
- Is fishing equipment (fishing rods, tackle, etc.) included on the fishing boats? Not at this time. In the near future, we will have all the quality fishing rods you need available for rental. At this time, you must supply your own. Everything you need can be found at our Ship Store, where all Owners receive a 10% discount at check out.
- Is insurance included? Yes. All of our boats include a $1,000,000 liability insurance policy. Owners will be responsible for a $2,500 deductible in the event an insurance claim needs to be filed.
- Is there a cutoff period for scheduling reservations? All online requests must be scheduled a minimum of 3 days in advance. Once submitted, one of our agents will call you to confirm the reservation. You may phone in reservation requests up to 1 PM the day before the desired reservation.
- What happens if I need to cancel a reservation? In the event you need to cancel a scheduled reservation, you must call one of our Agents at least 24 hrs prior to the reservation to avoid a $50.00 service charge. A $100 service charge may be assessed for not showing up for a scheduled, uncancelled reservation.
- What happens in the event of inclimate weather conditions? The safety of our Members is very important to us. The Dock Master affiliated with the scheduled location may cancel reservations, or call an Owner off the water at any time he believes the weather or water conditions are unsafe.
